Paper and progress go hand in hand. Historically, it’s hard to imagine how the arts, science and social freedoms could have developed and been communicated without paper.
The paper story

Paper is such a vital part of everyday life and when you purchase paper, your choice matters.

Australian Paper is the only Australian manufacturer of office, printing and specialist packaging papers and the largest private employer in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley. Thousands of people rely on Australian Paper for jobs and whole communities rely on the flow on effect those jobs provide.

Over the last 70 years, we have invested significantly in every area of our operations to ensure that we deliver the highest quality and most environmentally sound products. And we are constantly looking for ways to improve. Almost two thirds of our fibre comes from plantation and recycled waste, and with 85% of our wood coming from certified sources, sustainability is central to everything we do.

Currently, we have plans to build a major recycling facility at Maryvale to more than triple our volume of Australian made recycled paper.
